Unidentified Fashion Object
One of the most stylish and enchanting fashion exhibitions has arrived in New York's Central Park. Chanel Mobile Art, the multi-dimensional traveling exhibition opened on Oct. 20 and will run until Nov. 9. Conceived by Chanel's artistic director, Karl Lagerfeld, as a way to honor the 50th anniversary of Coco Chanel's quilted stitched-leather handbag, this futuristic pavilion created by Zaha Hadid features the works of 20 artists who have been inspired by the iconic bag. Visit the pavilion and you will be given a headset that guides you through the site's twists and turns for a brilliant and individual experience. Mobile Art launched its two-year worldwide tour in Hong Kong in February 2008, before traveling to Tokyo, where it was on view at the National Yoyogi Stadium Olympic Plaza. Following its presentation in New York, Mobile Art will travel to London and Moscow, concluding its tour in Paris in 2010. The exhibition aims to showcase the brand's originality, versatility, high-end appeal, and, of course, its place in the future of fashion.

Dirty Thirty: Diesel celebrates its anniversary, XXX-style
This weekend, DIESEL will celebrate its 30th anniversary with 18 parties around the world, and the brand's creator, Renzo Rosso, plans to attend three -- starting the evening in Tokyo and then flying backwards in time to clink cocktails in New York and London. If he's feeling ambitious, he might even make it to the parties in Helsinki or Dubai before the night is through. "Diesel really, truly is my life. I took my way of life, the way I wanted to live my life, and translated that into a branded lifestyle," said Rosso in the October "Destinations" issue of CITYseen here, which he guest edited.
Of course, the parties to celebrate this denim cult classic brand are by invitation only, but for one day only, October 10th, you can be a part of this worldwide celebration by getting you hands on a pair of limited-edition "Dirty Thirty" DIESEL jeans being sold for $50.
