| H&MADONNA |
If her recent tour was anything to go by, Madonna is looking pretty good for her age. Maybe it's the Kabbalah water, maybe it's the fresh air at her English estate, but more likely it's a killer fitness regime. This fall, the Material Girl debuts a new signature line at H&M, the highlight of which is a figure-hugging tracksuit. Available in white, black, and purple, the top is a narrow cut with a yoke detail, and the fitted pants are decorated with zipper details. Judging by Stella and Karl's past launches, better arrive early on Aug. 24 to get your hands on one. Go to www.hm.com |
| SCRATCH & SCREAM |
We originally wanted to recommend that you buy tickets for Austin-natives Explosions in the Sky's Sept. 2 show at NYC's Bowery Ballroom, but it's gone and sold out! Known best for their beautiful score of the movie Friday Night Lights, we suggest you beg, bid, or bribe for a ticket and an opportunity to see them in this tiny venue. If it's tail-shaking rock 'n' roll you're craving, check out Primal Scream's Riot City Blues, out this week—undoubtedly our album of the summer, had it been released in time. For a more hands-on approach, head to San Francisco's Norcal DJ Academy to become one with the wax, and learn how to scratch your favorite tunes without sounding like nails on a chalkboard. It's what headphones were invented for! |
