| In an ever-expanding luxury market, London-based online shop 20Ltd.com is sticking to it's "quality over quantity" guns. Calling themselves "etailers of authentic, ingenious, beautiful and unexpected things," 20Ltd.com will offer only 20 exclusive, limited-edition products at any one time. Launching April 2, initial products will include a "Giardino" rug by Emilio Pucci (in four sizes, but limited to only 15 editions), and a handmade "Good versus Evil" Opus football table by Scotland's The Eleven Forty Company (God and Co. battle Hitler and Satan's crew). Our pick is the asymmetrical khaki anorak by Derek Lam (above), and with only 20 being made, you're a lot less likely to be caught wearing the same coat as your neighbor this spring. 20Ltd.com has invited CITY readers for a sneak peek at the initial collection. Spring has officially sprung, so why not get in the spirit and slough off those winter doldrums? A trip to La Vie Zen Spa, New York City's newest den of serenity, is guaranteed to scrub (with a blend of lemongrass and bamboo), wrap (for detoxification and balance), and massage (you know you want one) your frost away. For the ladies, we recommend prepping for beach season with the fluid-draining, calcium-rich Women's Balance Body Wrap, complete with a body scrub and rinse from the state-of-the-art Vichy shower. Pair that with a Detox Treatment facial followed by an airbrush tan and you're good to go! Gentlemen can choose the Men's Grooming treatment, consisting of a back and scalp massage and razor-fighting facial to resuscitate that pallid complexion. Book it on your lunch hour and they'll order in. So schedule your spring break for, say, Tuesday at noon. Go to www.laviezen.com |

| Longtime CITY contributor Greg Lindsay is spending the next six months on the road reporting for his forthcoming book, Aerotropolis (John D. Kasarda and Greg Lindsay; Farrar, Straus and Giroux). In his new exclusive CITY Magazine blog, IN TRANSIT, he's filing dispatches along the way, covering the best hotels, restaurants, gear and airlines the world's "airport cities" have to offer. He just got back from one of the first flights on the gigantic new Airbus A380, and also got a peek inside the Lufthansa HQ. Now he's in Memphis, home of barbecue, Graceland, and FedEx. In today's blog entry, he reviews the Artisan Hotel, the city's first boutique hotel. Go to www.city-magazine.com/intransit |
