Featuring works by Lucas Samaras, Charles Ray (Plank Piece I, II, above), Andy Warhol, and Sol LeWitt, the exhibit focuses on the photograph as a creative tool in the making of performance and personal study. Highlighted works include photographic documentation of a Nam June Paik performance and Bruce Nauman's Studies for Holograms (a–e), all proving—as they should—that with exciting photography, there's much more than meets the eye. CITY Magazine and partner NY3D will inaugurate Design Week with Gathering on Greene on May 20th, a block-long celebration of all things design.
