FEB. 29: ONE GIANT LEAP

The time has come again to keep our busy, everyday calendars in sync with the rotating world. So what are you going to do with Friday's extra 24 hours? We found a few entertaining ways to spend this year's Leap Day:

Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson (above) battle for the love of King Henry VIII, played by Eric Bana, in The Other Boleyn Girl, in theaters nationwide Feb. 29. The actresses play sisters Anne Boleyn and Mary Boleyn in Philippa Gregory’s adaptation of this historical and scandalous sibling rivalry.

Chicago’s Restaurant Week wraps up on Friday so check out some of the Windy City’s finest eateries while they offer irresistible specials. We suggest Naha (500 N. Clark St, 312-321-6242) for an American-Mediterranean fusion lunch, followed by a waterfront dinner on the Navy Pier at Riva (at left, 700 E. Grand St., 312-644-7482).

Head to New York's Museum of Modern Art (11 West 53 St., 212-708-9400) and experience the rainbow. The 'Color Chart' exhibition draws together 90 of the museum’s most vibrant work by such artists as Ellsworth Kelly, Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, and Jim Lambie, whose floor installation brightens the MoMA’s normally stark-white lobby.

Can the Red Sox repeat? Will Santana get the Mets into the playoffs? When will everyone stop taking (and talking about) steroids? From Florida to Arizona, Major League Baseball's Spring Training is well underway and just about every team will take the field Friday. By October, we should have some answers.

CITY PRESENTS SPRING FASHION

In CITY's new Spring Fashion issue, on newsstands everwhere, we travel from London to New York, Paris to Milan for an in-depth look at the stalwart designers and rising stars in the world’s four great fashion capitals. Plus, we get a behind-the-scenes look at the perfume industry with New York Times scent critic Chandler Burr, search the country for the best places to shop for vintage couture, and snuggle up with Dylan Lauren in her candy-coated bedroom.
