Fischerspooner Live in NYC to support Entertainment |
|
Internationally known throughout pop art circles for both their music and theatrical performances on stage, Fischerspooner returns to play dates in New York this weekend including a stop at Webster Hall on May 8. We're pumped to see what Warren (Fischer) and Casey (Spooner) have in store with their new live act, said to be inspired by Japanese Kabuki and early space exploration. Casey says, "The songs of the current album and other songs from our catalogue are set against a visual and sonic collage made from disparate literary and historical sources and theatrical traditions. It sounds strange and ridiculous but it all adds up."
The show supports their new album out this week on FS Studios records, aptly-titled Entertainment. Our favorite tracks? Amuse Bouche, The Best Revenge, and their new single, Supply & Demand.
